Sea Smoke Cellars

Sea Smoke Cellars is one of the most prestigious wineries in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County, California. Since its foundation in 1999, it has focused exclusively on growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from its own vineyards, which are managed organically, biodynamically and with an emphasis on regenerative agriculture. The character of the wines is shaped by the unique coastal climate with its cool ocean mist (‘sea smoke’), which allows the grapes to ripen slowly whilst retaining their fresh acidity. The result is elegant, complex and long-lived wines that rank among the icons of modern Californian winemaking.
